OneDios raises USD 1.2 million in a funding round led by IAN, others

OneDios, an aggregator platform for customer service requests, has raised USD 1.2 million in a funding round led by Indian Angel Network (IAN), LetsVenture, Bhanu Chopra (Founder, Rategain), Akash Bhansali, Haldiram group and another large family office from Delhi.

The Delhi-based startup, founded in 2019, aims to utilize the freshly raised investment to double the size of its product portfolio. The company wants to hire the best-in-class tech talent and experts for its overall growth.

The Start of OneDios

OneDios was developed by Nitin Chawla with the goal of giving brands and their end users a smooth way to submit requests. To file a service request or complaint, consumers typically rely on the brands’ call centers, customer care representatives, or websites. OneDios was founded to address a number of problems, including call dropping, lengthy wait times in IVR lines, and repeating the same information to many call center executives.

The platform offers a single gateway to contact numerous brands and has developed proprietary AI/ML models to register client requests. OneDios helps companies to digitally receive numerous customer service/repair requests, which lessens the workload on contact centers and is consistent with its “Brands First” concept. It lowers call center costs across industries and helps businesses provide better customer service.

It takes less than 60 seconds for clients to submit a service or complaint request with OneDios, and less than 30 seconds for repeat requests. Additionally, they can use the app to upload their warranty cards and product invoices.

Onedios on shark tank India season 4

A pitcher who had already received Rs 16 crore in funding was unanimously rejected in the most recent episode of Shark Tank India, which began its fourth season this week. Ghaziabad-based entrepreneur Nitin Chawla presented his one-stop complaint filing app, OneDios, to a panel of five “sharks”—Aman Gupta, Vineeta Singh, Peyush Bansal, Varun Dua, who has experience with warranties and insurance as CEO of Acko, and Anupam Mittal. Nitin asked for Rs 75 lakh in return for 1.5% stake in his company, which he valued at Rs 50 crore.

He told the “sharks” that he expects to make around Rs 7 crore this year, despite the fact that he is still losing money. The “sharks” were interested in learning more about Nitin’s services, but they didn’t appear to comprehend what he was saying. Nitin introduced OneDios as a platform that cuts down on the amount of time a customer must spend complaining to a company. Regardless of the company from which they purchased the faulty items, he promised buyers that they could lodge a complaint on his platform within 60 seconds. He went on to say that he sells extended warranties on his website in addition to receiving payment from the companies that have registered with him.

According to Varun, who has firsthand knowledge of this field, he “burned a lot of money” on the extended warranty sector. He said, “What you’re saying is oversimplified; there are too many variables in this.” But Nitin has an answer for every issue. However, Anupam appeared to comprehend his ruse. “You are taking us everywhere without getting to the point,” he responded. When one of us attempts to go further, you pretend that we don’t know what we’re talking about and that you’re simply waiting to put us in our place while you’re giggling behind your back.

Anupam responded, “Respect Varun,” he urged, adding, “If you want to, keep lying to yourself. However, AI has devastated your business. “If you can’t convince them, confuse them” is a saying you may have heard before. I’m not convinced, but I’m also not confused. I’m going.

Nitin’s pitch was likewise met with no interest from the other “sharks,” as Anupam was not present. He said in his post-pitch interview that he needed the funds to advertise his company, but he departed without reaching a deal. “After more than 200 rejections, I won’t be bothered by another one,” he said. As the “sharks” discussed the pitch with one another, Anupam remarked, “He’s a sales guy; he’s been doing sales all his life.” Vineeta shot back, “But you can sell without lying,”

About the founder of Onedios

Nitin obtained a B.Com. and then went on to complete an MSc. In the first company, he was assigned a sales target of 15 lakhs. If he succeeded, it was said, he would be put in development. Nitin joined the software development profession after accomplishing that objective. Eventually, he moved to a different company, where he developed the first mobile application. After that, he worked as a project manager for IBM for nearly 12 years. He oversaw the electrical branch of IBM. He started this company in 2019 and left IBM in 2020.

This startup made Rs 3.7 crore in revenue in 2023–2024, but it also spent Rs 5.5 crore. At the same time, the company made Rs 3.25 crore in sales through October of this year. 15% of the company’s sales come via the app, while 85% come from retailers.
