EazyDiner is India’s prime online restaurant reservation platform established by Sanghavi and others with experience in the hospitality business. Formally launched as an assistance service, customers can now make orders directly through their mobile application as well. It gives a short and succinct details and reviews, locating restaurants and bars, and makes online reservations.

The Indian food tech market is estimated to increase at a 12 per cent CAGR (compound annual rate growth) till 2021 and this will be stimulated by the changing lifestyles, rise in the millennial working population and with a massive increase in the number of smartphone users. 

EazyDiner provides its customers to go through the restaurant menu, and assist them to book a restaurant table based on their comfort. The restaurant reservation venture is available in more than 93 Indian cities such as Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Goa, Ahmadabad, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Lucknow, and also in Dubai. The application consists of more than 6000 restaurants reviews and table reservations within 18 seconds.

Since its inception, EazyDiner has a large amount of data and using a high degree of personalization, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) have been used right for controlling recommendation engine to cuisine preferences.

 EazyDiner, CEO and Co-founder, Rohit Dasgupta says, “Our recommendation engine analyses multiple components of customers such as previous bookings, cuisine preferences, expenses, availability and then suggest to the customers. Currently, we are upgrading our recommendation engine with collaborative filtering.” 

The restaurant reservation app depends on the algorithms to manage a large number of user requests and to handle their inventory, “We have an algorithm that knows how the inventory works in a specific restaurant on a specific day and time. We keep providing the inventory as we go closer to dining times to allow restaurants to fill up those seats,” Dasgupta added. 

 

For the hosted service EazyDiner uses Amazon Web Services (AWS), its portal is a mix of Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP), Python, Java, AngularJS and Redis and also Akamai for data storage. The startup has also been working towards digitizing the restaurants with their Software as a services (SaaS) product. It will assist restaurants to plan their meal sessions such as lunch and dinner seatings better for most appropriate utilization of seats and selling the last table. 

“We use Elastic Search, MongoDB and MySql to boost our business, search and discovery portal. We use Google BigQuery for our data analytics,” Dasgupta said. 

EazyDiner has raised more than 3.5 times ever since its launch and 10 times in the span of the last two years, as an expected growth rate for FY 19-20. Last year, EazyDiner introduced the country’s most exclusive and strongest dining plan. In cooperation with American Express, ‘EazyDiner Prime’. The booking platform prime features over 400+ of the country’s best restaurants curated based on users review and feedback. This resulted in the growth of the company.
