Under the auspices of BIRAC, the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council, Sruthi served as a “Sparsh” Fellow at the KIIT Technology Business Incubator. BIRAC is a not-for-profit Section 8, Schedule B, Public Sector Enterprise established by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India, as an Interface Agency to support and enable the nascent biotech enterprise to engage in strategic research and innovation, addressing needs related to national product development.

Professor Satyajit Majumdar, a TISS professor and entrepreneurship educator who co-chairs the steering committee for the biotechnology-based program for societal development with BIRAC, stated, “She worked hard to make it successful after our initial facilitation.”
