The Person Behind Naara Aaba

With dreams glittering in her eyes, our founder, Tage Rita, constantly has a smile that lights up Naara Aaba with love. She possesses a wealth of knowledge about wine that is just ready to be spilled. She comes from the gorgeous Hong hamlet in Ziro Valley and is a force to be reckoned with in the entrepreneurial world.

Born in the Ziro Valley. Tage Rita Takhe began on a lovely journey from Engineer to Founder of India’s First Kiwi Winery with Naara Aaba. Driven by a strong vision of creating a fully scaled thriving community of farmers, skilled young, and women in the region, she established Northeast India as a wine tourist destination with a line of world-class premium wines made from locally grown organic fruits.

Rita received the ‘Women Transforming India’ award in 2018 from Niti Aayog in cooperation with the United Nations for her dedication to supporting her community via her business activities. In the same year, she was honored by Arunachal Pradesh’s Honourable Governor, Brig. Dr. B.D. Mishra (Retd), and received various accolades for her entrepreneurial venture.

What Does Naara Aaba Do?

Naara Aaba’s adventure began in 2017 with the goal of connecting markets for the region’s abundant but underutilized kiwi fruits. Rita began buying kiwis from local farms to produce wine.

Prior to it, the region’s kiwi farmers were unable to obtain a fair market value for their produce, therefore the kiwis went to waste.

The winery now produces not only kiwi wines, but also other fruit varieties such as plums, wild apples, and pears. Tourists can visit the winery and participate in wine tasting sessions. They intend to launch their wine goods in other states this year, including Assam.

Naara Aaba’s Vision

Naara Aaba’s success story involves not just producing wonderful wines, but also assisting the local agricultural community and encouraging sustainable agriculture in the region.

Tage Rita, the company’s creator, serves as an inspiration to other entrepreneurs and demonstrates the region’s potential.

Rita leaves no bottle uncorked, encouraging sustainability with every sip. Her mission is to provide farmers, women, and youth in her region with a means of subsistence. From motivating goals to igniting the region’s popularity, she has poured her heart and soul into making Naara Aaba memorable to everybody.

Shark Tank India showcases a dynamic platform where aspiring business owners pitch their concepts to influential investors, hoping to gain the support and resources needed to scale their enterprises.
