Ahmedabad, India is home to the lifestyle accessories company Maisha. Handcrafted from the finest cotton and jute weaves, these products are the work of local artisans.

The items are made with consideration for the delicate woven textures that have been passed down to us, as well as the aesthetics and practicality of cotton and jute. Instead of using animal leather, we use limited vegan leather.

Who is Behind Maisha?

The father-daughter-husband trio of Nayan Shah, Esha Shah, and Neel Vora is at the forefront of Maisha, making sure that the packaging expertly combines bohemian and environmental aesthetics.

When Esha Shah gave in to her inner calling of creative endeavor, she was pursuing a successful profession in chartered accounting. She decided to take the less-traveled route and try her hand at starting Maisha since she was enthralled with the rich textile legacy of the nation. But a startup can only succeed if its backers do.

Instilling faith in his daughter’s endeavor, Nayan Shah contributed to the startup and gave Maisha room to grow. Maisha was finally prepared to take off thanks to her husband Neel Vora’s packaging company and assistance.

Maisha’s Vision

Their journey included activities like as exhibitions and pop-ups across the country. Exhibitions in cities such as Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Surat, Baroda, Kolkata, Rajkot, and others, with a total footfall of nearly 250,000, have provided us with opportunities to meet individuals from all over and communicate with clients one-on-one.

A workplace represents the organization’s culture. Maisha wanted to build a setting that reflected our passion for sustainability and resource conservation.

Their Studio was built with over 90% repurposed and upcycled materials. Some of the objects they manufactured are over 70 years old and were found in poor condition at a waste disposal facility. Products look right at home when displayed at our studio, which is set in a peaceful environment.

They experimented with a combination of subtle and vivid hues. This small adobe of theirs complements the boho mood of our products perfectly.

Shark Tank India showcases a dynamic platform where aspiring business owners pitch their concepts to influential investors, hoping to gain the support and resources needed to scale their enterprises.
