Three GenAI startups with Indian roots have been chosen by Amazon for the third batch of its AWS Generative AI Accelerator (GAIA). The 40 AI startups chosen for the cohort include these Indian companies: Stimuler, Hyperbots, and Smallest AI.
The cohort’s 30 businesses come from a variety of different areas, including Asia Pacific, EMEA, North America, and Latin America, while the 10 startups chosen are from Asia-Pacific and Japan. These program-participating firms are developing agentic AI and fundamental AI models in industries like manufacturing, robotics, financial services, and enterprise technology.
Through the accelerator, AWS will provide each firm with up to $1 million in “AWS credits,” technical and business mentoring, and access to AWS’ AI tech stack to help them develop more quickly. The eight-week program will end in Las Vegas in December after starting on October 13 at Amazon’s Seattle headquarters.
With the ten chosen businesses exhibiting remarkable diversity and technological prowess, the APJ region has become a potent center for generative AI innovation. These founders are tackling intricate regional problems with worldwide ramifications, from language models that improve communication and cross cultural boundaries to specialized AI revolutionizing legal work, financial procedures, and scientific research, according to Tiffany Bloomquist, head of startups for AWS’ APJ region.
The first batch of the AWS accelerator program was introduced in 2023. Last year, seven Indian AI firms, including Neural Garage, Orbo.ai, and Phot.ai, were included in the program’s second batch.
The three companies included in AWS’ 2025 generative AI accelerator program are as follows:
