This 19-year-old’s health app almost got a deal - but he lost it due to 'overconfidence'

From the beginning, Shark Tank India 4 has set records. For example, Peyush Bansal offered a pitcher a deal for Rs 5 crore, the most the show has ever offered. Even though “sharks” were initially charmed by the youngster’s business acumen and the fact that he has already established three start-ups, 19-year-old pitcher Himanshu Rajpurohit was one of those who left the show empty-handed.

Himanshu Rajpurohit, the 19-year-old creator of the healthcare app Nexera.Health, stated at the beginning of his pitch that he had successfully founded two firms in the past and sold them to launch a third.

Offensive Comments Disappoint the Sharks

He had an impressive background, but things swiftly went south. Himanshu revealed too much information in a short period of time, initially overwhelming the sharks and making it difficult for them to keep up. Himanshu was put on the defense after Titan Capital and Snapdeal co-founder Kunal Bahl questioned the app’s suitability for CFOs.

Himanshu’s remark didn’t help when Sugar Cosmetics co-founder Vineeta Singh questioned whether his service would be viable in a market already overcrowded with comparable healthcare apps. She urged Himanshu to abandon the story he had attempted to construct around his company, pointing out that no one would probably invest in such an app.

When Himanshu tried to defend his participation on the show by saying that he was there only for mentoring and that he could have earned money elsewhere, the pitch only became worse. Investors were not pleased by this remark, particularly boAt Lifestyle co-founder Aman Gupta, who voiced his displeasure. He remarked, “Your third business shows the effects of your success hangover.” “Your attitude annoyed me, even though I was there to make you an offer 95 percent of the time. Because of your overconfidence, you don’t need a mentor.

Critical Error in The App

When Kunal Bahl pointed out a factual error in Himanshu’s app, things took a further turn for the worse. Two days prior to his startling debut on the show, the 19-year-old reportedly hurried to create a new version of the software. “Why should I invest in you? I usually like to support young talent.” “Aman Gupta said.” The investors became even more dubious of his business strategy as a result.

The sharks were unwilling to take the chance, even though Himanshu had a strong track record of starting three businesses before turning 20. Despite recognizing Himanshu’s potential, Kunal chose not to participate, referring to his company as a “nice to have venture.” The executive director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals, Namita Thapar, expressed her displeasure with the app’s lack of uniqueness and rejected the notion of investing. “You are dismissive about competition and you are not doing anything different, which is why I am out,” she continued.

Another guest judge, Ritesh Agarwal, commended Himanshu’s energy and business attitude but eventually chose not to participate. “You were in a hurry with this pitch,” he said to Himanshu. Although I am unable to extend an offer to you, I am able to provide you with any outside assistance or direction you require.

Himanshu's Shark Tank Experience

Himanshu defended himself by saying that appearing on Shark Tank India was a significant moment for him and a chance to showcase his company to some of the most intelligent people in the business world. “This platform gave me the opportunity to learn priceless lessons from some of the brightest minds in business, in addition to showcasing how my solution is revolutionizing corporate healthcare. My business spirit has been strengthened by the exposure and guidance I have received. It’s a milestone that has set the stage for Nexera.Health’s bright future,” he said.

Even though Himanshu’s pitch was rejected by the sharks, it appears that the young businessman has a clear idea for his enterprise. It remains to be seen if he will apply the lessons he has gained from this experience to achieve success.
