The Idea That Led to WOL3D

The company’s founders are Rahul Chandalia, Shaloni Chandalia, Pradeep Jain, and Swati Jain. They came from Mumbai. They got the idea from an exhibition featuring commercial printers, so why not create little 3D printers that can assist the general public?

They had no intention of starting a 3D printing company, but the idea struck us in January 2016 when visiting an exhibition in Mumbai and seeing a live 3D printer.

One of their creators, Pradeep Jain, stated, “One machine can make anything; this is the future of technology,” which is when we three began our investigation and analysis. They explored many websites and traveled to China, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and other nations to meet producers and gain more in-depth knowledge.

Finally, the day had arrived; in April 2016, they established their brand in India, “WORLD OF LILLIPUTS,” and began work in a 350-square-foot area by creating miniatures of humans, replicas of anyone. Brilliant concept, for which they purchased 3D printers, scanners, and raw materials. They organised events and exhibitions to promote our brand.

After a few months, they understood that this was only a drop in the ocean and a little part of the 3D Printing Industry, so we chose to become the ocean. We began looking for firms where we might become Indian partners, and that’s when we signed our first contract with Flashforge. Who knew at the moment that we would become their sole partners in India?
