Mohit Sharma and Mahek Mody made an appearance on Shark Tank India season 3 to present their product, upliance, and shared in-depth information about it. They mentioned that many people in Indian homes want to cook delicious food but lack cooking skills. So, they created upliance, a cooking assistant to help them. During their pitch, they asked for INR 1 crore for 1% of their business, valuing it at INR 100 crores. They then demonstrated how their product can be used to make Kadhai Paneer. However, the Sharks were not impressed as there were still many manual steps involved that the upliance couldn’t simplify. The Sharks then asked them questions. Namita Thapar doubted the actual AI use in the product. Azhar Iqubal inquired about using AI for customizing dishes. Anupam Mittal suggested focusing more on the hardware aspect than AI. Peyush Bansal raised concerns about the long cooking time compared to traditional methods. The Sharks also questioned them about manufacturing costs and product pricing. In the end, they only received an investment offer from Peyush Bansal, which they couldn’t finalize.
