Bhavish Aggarwal was born on August 28, 1985, in Ludhiana, Punjab, India.

He comes from a middle-class family with Naresh Kumar Aggarwal, his father, worked as a doctor, and, Usha Aggarwal, his mother was a housewife.

Bhavish finished his schooling in Ludhiana, where he built fascination towards science and technology.

He completed a Bachelor’s degree, graduating in 2008, in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay,.

In 2010, Bhavish and Ankit Bhati, who were classmates at IIT Bombay, co-founded Ola Cabs (ANI Technologies Pvt Ltd). They began as an online taxi aggregator business with the goal of improving user convenience and dependability of transportation throughout India.
