Zomato which is India’s largest food delivery company partnered with TikTok which the largest short-video app in the world to raise awareness about food wastage, malnutrition and hunger that is rampant in India. To mark its 11th anniversary, a food drive that encompassed 74 cities in India and over 11 countries was organized by Zomato. These countries included UAE, Indonesia, Qatar, Australia, New Zealand, Portugal, Turkey, The USA, the Philippines and ofcourse India
The food drive was powered by Feeding India, a Ngo which is now a part of Zomato. The drive saw over 22,000 volunteers who helped serve meals to the needy. The TikTok creators came together as hunger heroes and helped in with the efforts as well. They spent the evening with the underprivileged, donated food and helped in promoting the cause through their video sharing platform.
