The startup founders then countered again, asking for 50 lakhs in cash and 30 lakhs in debt for a 3% equity stake. Anupam and Ashneer then offered 50 lakhs in cash and 30 lakhs in debt for a 6% equity stake.
Finally, Peyush and Aman made a counteroffer of 50 lakhs in cash and 30 lakhs in debt for a 5% equity stake. The deal that was ultimately accepted was 50 lakhs for a 3.5% equity stake, plus 30 lakhs in debt financing, from investors Anupam and Ashneer.
