The Ask

Shashank and Ayushi asked the Sharks for ₹75 Lakhs in exchange for 10% equity, implying a valuation of ₹7.5 Crores.

Sharks’ Reactions

Shark Kanika Tekriwal right away offered Rs 75 Lakhs for 20% Equity + 2% Royalty until Rs 75 Lakhs are recoupled at the valuation of Rs 3.75 Crores.

Shark Namita doubted that the products are for recurring purchase, thus, she opted out.

Shark Aman said that the business is kind of “Boutique” and they should remain bootstrapped. He also backed out.

Shark Anupam applauded their great business and financial numbers but he did not find himself as a great fit for the business. He opted out as well.

Shark Vineeta was not sure about the market size of the sector. She advised them to raise debt and build the business profitably. She was also out.

Hence, the founders were left with only Kanika.

Shashank and Ayushi Sharma accepted Shark Kanika Tekriwal’s offer of ₹75 Lakhs for 20% equity, plus a 2% royalty on every sale until the full ₹75 Lakh investment amount is recouped — giving Marbleous the capital and mentorship it needs to scale India’s most artisanal luxury marble brand.
