Mitigata, a startup specializing in cyber insurance, has secured $5.9 million (approximately INR 51.6 crore) in its Series A funding round, with Nexus Venture Partners as the lead investor.

Mitigata, established in 2021 by Anand, Sarthak Dubey, Mayank Morya, and Akshit Kaushik, utilizes AI to provide cybersecurity and cyber insurance solutions for both businesses and individuals.  It provides a diverse array of solutions, such as SOC monitoring, VAPT (Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing), CERT-In empanelled audits, incident response, digital forensics, and the implementation of cybersecurity tools.

This round also included participation from current investors such as Titan Capital and WEH Ventures.

The startup, which is located in Bengaluru, intends to use the newly acquired funds to speed up the development of its AI-driven management and risk platform, improve its cybersecurity solution suite, and broaden its presence both locally and globally.

Additionally, it will concentrate on acquiring talent across various segments, such as security, insurance, and compliance.

Mitigata is working towards establishing global security operations centres (SOCs) in Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi to expand its AI-driven solutions, such as threat detection, incident response, and managed security services throughout the nation.
