Dr. Bikramjeet Singh stepped into Shark Tank India, seeking ₹1 crore for 5% equity, valuing his business at ₹20 crore.
His plan si to expand Singh Dental Care across Punjab, followed by Delhi-NCR and Tier-2 cities, offer premium-quality dental care at 15-20% lower prices than competitors and scale the business while maintaining profitability and standardization.
But while the sharks were intrigued, they had serious concerns about scaling a clinic-based business model.
The Sharks appreciated the concept of specialized dentistry but were concerned about its scalability, high operational costs, and the challenge of maintaining service quality across multiple locations.
They questioned the feasibility of expansion, standardization of treatments, dentist training, and long-term sustainability. Financial challenges, including capital-intensive clinic setups and specialist recruitment, were also highlighted. While they recognized the passion and effort behind the business, they felt it lacked a clear expansion strategy and was better suited for industry expertise rather than external investment. As a result, none of them chose to invest.
