CureSee Business Statistics

They have one research paper published that backs up their vision correction claims, and currently, they are working on two additional research studies. CureSee offers subscriptions that range from 12,000 to 18,000 rupees for a period of 3 to 6 months and provides its software through hospitals. In the past month, they reported revenue of ₹2.64 lakh and had 310 patients actively using their services.

Curesee Negotiations At Shark Tank

Namita, one of the sharks, wanted to invest in CureSee. She offered ₹50 lakh (which is 5 million rupees) in exchange for 10% ownership of the company. She also wanted to include CureSee in her existing business network called EMCURE.

Aman decided not to invest because he felt he didn’t know enough about the business. Vineeta also chose not to invest and agreed that Namita would be a good partner for CureSee. Peyush was interested and made a different offer: he wanted to give ₹1 crore (10 million rupees) but for 25% of the business. He was open to matching Namita’s offer if needed. Anupam commented that he felt Namita and Peyush would be better partners, so he also stepped out of the deal.

Namita then changed her offer to ₹40 lakh for 7.5% of the company. Peyush stuck to his original offer of ₹1 crore for 25%. The CureSee team asked Peyush to match Namita’s new offer, but he didn’t want to do that.

Namita made another change to her offer, now saying she would invest ₹40 lakh for only 5% of the company. This offer valued CureSee much higher than Peyush’s initial valuation. Peyush responded by increasing his offer to ₹50 lakh for the original 10% equity. In the end, the CureSee team accepted Peyush’s offer of ₹50 lakh for 10% of the company.

How is CureSee Doing After Shark Tank India?

Despite not getting the investment, CureSee is still doing well. According to their website, they have helped over 2,800 patients and work with more than 350 doctors across 80 cities in India.

The company has won five awards from different organizations and government bodies, which shows they are recognized for their work. After their episode aired on TV, the founder, Puneet, said they received a lot of attention. His phone was overwhelmed with calls, getting about 700 to 800 calls every day. They are still busy trying to keep up with all the orders coming in.

To help manage this huge number of orders, CureSee has created a Chatbot, which is a type of computer program that can talk with customers and help with their requests. Puneet mentioned that they are still adjusting their prices but believes that their customers are getting good value for what they pay.
