Hyderabad, 29th July 2025CMA Vijay Kiran Agastya has been elected as the Chairman of the Southern India Regional Council (SIRC) of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) for the term 2025–26. A former Vice President at Deloitte, Vijay Kiran transitioned into entrepreneurship four years ago and is currently the Co-Founder and Managing Director of MentorMe, an emerging EdTech venture focused on career guidance and upskilling.

Joining him in the leadership team are:

CMA Munisekhar Darapaneni, a Practicing Cost Accountant from Hyderabad, elected as Vice-Chairman

CMA Rajesh Sai Iyer, a Chennai-based Practitioner, elected as Secretary 

CMA K.V.N. Lavanya, a Practicing Cost Accountant from Hyderabad,  and that for the first time a telugu lady entered the SIRC as Treasurer.

Notably, three of the four office bearers hail from Hyderabad, marking a significant milestone in the history of the Southern India Regional Council.

The newly elected team brings together a wealth of experience from industry and practice, with a shared commitment to advancing the profession and empowering members and students across the southern region.
