Ghar Soaps Founders: Sayyam Jain and Sunny Jain

Sayyam Jain and Sunny Jain are half-brothers. Sayyam’s mother married Sunny’s father after the passing of Sunny’s mother. Soon after, Sunny and Sayyam’s father also passed away. Later, Sayyam’s mother remarried, and this is where Sayyam grew up. Sayyam is responsible for planning the new venture, while Sunny assists with operations, accounting, and other tasks. Despite their unique family situation, there is no conflict between them, and they both have an equal market share in the business.

Their paths crossed about 10 to 12 years ago. Sayyam was a top student in school, but after achieving 98% in 11th grade, he purposely failed and moved to Pune to study digital marketing. While running an e-commerce business, he successfully established a billion-dollar company, only to face betrayal from his partner. In his subsequent venture, he focused on providing services, but once again, he was deceived. Drawing on his experiences and network, he has now built a flourishing drop shipping company which initially faced stiff competition but has now stabilized into a successful operation.

Ghar Soaps Shark Tank India Negotiations

Namita left the company because she had previously put her money into a skincare business that appeared on the first season of Shark Tank. Amit departed, mentioning that he felt the products lacked substance.

The co-founders of Ghar Soaps, Sayyam Jain and Sunny Jain, happen to be step-brothers. Sunny Jain’s mother passed away when he was young, and his father remarried, leading to the birth of Sayyam. Unfortunately, their father also passed away a few years later. Sayyam was raised in his mother’s new family after she remarried. Peyush thought the business was not worth investing in and stressed the importance of having a clear vision for the company. Despite this, he still offered ₹60 Lakh for a 10% stake. Anupam matched Peyush’s offer, and they ended up jointly investing in the business.

Aman made an independent offer of ₹60 Lakh for 10%, boasting about his expertise in the marketplace. This sparked a heated discussion among the investors. After some negotiations, the company proposed ₹1 Crore for a 5% stake. The entrepreneurs expressed their concern about the valuation, and Aman then offered ₹60 Lakh for 4%, which both Peyush and Anupam agreed to match. The entrepreneurs ultimately accepted Aman’s offer.
