Bhavish Aggarwal-led Ola Consumer has launched a test program for a 10-minute grocery delivery service in certain Bengaluru pin codes

This move comes days after the company established a pilot program for fast meal deliveries

Ola Consumer has been delivering groceries to clients through public ONDC, but this is the company's official entry into the quick commerce market

They offer delivery of grocery and daily basics (fruits & vegetables, dairy items, meat & eggs, beverages, instant food, munchies, others in under 10 minutes

Ola Consumer has become the latest entrance into India's fast expanding quick commerce market, which is currently controlled by three companies

In fiscal year 2023-2024 (FY24), the trio (Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart, and Zepto). They recorded total revenue of more than $900 million

Ola Consumer currently does not charge a delivery fee for its rapid commerce services

It became a public limited company in November, preparing for its initial public offering (IPO).

As per Chryseum, India's quick commerce business is now valued at $3.3 billion and is predicted to grow to $10 billion by 2029
