How Loopie's founder Akriti Gupta impressed Sharks with premium strollers and baby gear on Shark Tank India Season 5 Episode 2.

Founded by IIM Ahmedabad alumna Akriti Gupta, Loopie is a premium baby gear brand specializing in high-quality strollers, car seats, and diaper bags.

Loopie products are designed for the "new generation" of parents. Their flagship strollers are priced between ₹17,000 and ₹20,000, offering a premium experience.

Akriti is a baby category expert with over 10 years of experience. Before Loopie, she successfully scaled other ventures and worked at Udaan, bringing deep supply chain and manufacturing knowledge to her startup.

The brand saw rapid traction! Starting with just ₹2 Lakh in gross sales in March 2025, Loopie accelerated to ₹45 Lakh in monthly sales by October 2025. The company also holds an inventory worth ₹3 Crore.

Akriti entered the Tank seeking ₹75 Lakh for 1% equity in Loopie. This valuation raised eyebrows among the Sharks, sparking a debate on market scalability and the resale economy of baby gear.

Namita Thapar and Kunal Bahl were impressed by the quality. Namita offered ₹75 Lakh for 3% equity, later dropping to 2.5%. However, Akriti stayed firm on her valuation and chose to walk away without a deal.
