Krutrim AI has reportedly conducted a second round of layoffs, impacting over 100 employees as part of a strategic realignment.

The job cuts aim to create leaner, more focused teams for better operational efficiency.

A large portion of the affected workforce belonged to the company’s linguistics team, many of whom had joined recently.

The linguistics division previously comprised around 600 members, according to earlier reports.

This marks Krutrim’s second layoff round, following the termination of more than a dozen roles in June.

The company’s decision highlights a shift in internal priorities following its rapid expansion and talent onboarding.

These developments come just weeks after Krutrim launched its Gen 2 multimodal AI assistant, Kruti.

Kruti is designed to handle voice, text, image, and file inputs, offering detailed outputs as part of the company’s AI roadmap.
