Ayuvya stunned Shark Tank India with ₹51.5 Crore revenue but faced rejection over trust issues and clinical trial concerns

Founders Tanishk Pandey, Astha Jain, and Pawanjot Kaur entered Shark Tank India Season 5 to pitch their dual brands: Ayuvya (Ayurvedic formulations) and ImFresh (fragrance products).

Ayuvya was born from the fusion of ancient Indian herbal wisdom and modern science. Their mission was to create honest and effective Ayurvedic products, with a heavy focus on weight gain supplements which now account for 70% of their total revenue.

The brand scaled rapidly using a "marketing-first" approach. They produce over 40 video ads daily, focusing on "ugly ads", low-budget, authentic-feeling content.

The numbers left the Sharks stunned!. FY 22-23: ₹8 Crore, FY 23-24: ₹26.5 Crore, FY 24-25: ₹51.5 Crore current year projections are set to hit a massive ₹70 Crore with a gross margin of 75%.

Seeking to scale their "house of brands," the trio asked for ₹1 Crore for 0.5% equity. This placed the combined valuation of Ayuvya and ImFresh at a staggering ₹200 Crore.

Despite the high revenue, Sharks raised red flags. Kunal Bahl noted slowing growth and a lack of clinical trials. Aman Gupta criticized the ad quality, while Ritesh Agarwal questioned the brand's long-term trust.
